Last night we ate at our first sit down restaurant and we had a great experience. We have found that most people here do speak minimal english and our waiter/host was easy to communicate with. Our dinner was great followed by a delicious cone of gelato! We then took a night cruise of the Grand Canal which wasnt much to speak of. We were hoping for a stunning light display or something...but got nothing but a freezing ride.:( Although we of course still had a good time! ;) This morning we went down to the Rialto Market which is an incredible site of fresh fruits, veggies, and seafood...the biggest farmer's market we have ever seen! Then we went to the Accademia, a very large museum filled with religious works of art from the 16th century, can you imagine! We bought our first train tickets for our travel to Florence in the morning and although we have loved Venice we are excited to be moving on in our adventure! Love to you all from across the sea!
