Today we started at the national museum of rome, which houses many very interesting artifacts of ancient rome, we thought the best were the detailed mosiacs made out of the teeniest tiles! but we were also on museum overload after the vatican, and its very hard to continue to absorb all of the amazing art, artifacts, and statues galore! Then we headed off to the coloseum, which was everything you can imagine, towering stories into the sky it is definitely a site to see! Ancient Rome is a huge expanse of rubble and ruins, the center of roman society back in the first century...chill inspiring! We had a great time walking around this area listening to stories from guides, and even had lunch on a piece of an old column with engravings on it! Also noteworthy was the Pantheon, the oldest place of worship on earth, for over 12 centuries people have gone there to pray to their gods. We have a video and some pictures! enjoy...
