In October, the Humboldt State softball team from 2001was inducted into the Hall of Fame! That definitely warranted a trip up to Arcata! We also got some much needed time with the Ellsmores in Ferndale while we were there!
Of the hundreds of trips I've taken up North I've never stopped at the Drive thru tree, and since the kids and i weren't in a hurry, i decided to pull off and see what it was all about! I was nervous about getting through, but we did without a scratch and the kids had fun learning about how to tell how old trees are and just running aorund.

The weather was nice, but cold typical Humboldt beach weather!
Gavins jacket was soaked by a wave so he borrowed one of the girls jackets (he wasn't too thrilled)
I got to play in the alumni game at 3rd base and even made a couple of nice plays! It took me an inning or 2 to get used to it though and i pretty much played as far back as i could! haha!
